Engine management algorithms continuously evaluate fuel supply capability against dynamic engine fueling demand. Depending on vehicle architecture, fuel-pump performance may be inferred from pressure response, commanded pump activity, control feedback, engine demand, current/load information, or other available system data rather than from direct flow measurement.
